Idk if this reflects what most people may reflect NPR's base anyway, which is probably on the older side. They tend to talk about Warren and Sanders only in the "are they going to spoil the election for the Democrats" kind of light. Sure they welcome the center-left and center-right and really no one else. Even the national shows have a pretty limited window. My guess is Georgia is more religious than many states, and is/has been in light red/purple territory.
